New Patients - What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first visit to Aria Dermatology & Aesthetics is designed to be thoughtful, efficient, and personalized.

Before your appointment, you’ll receive electronic forms through Klara, allowing us to review your medical history, concerns, and goals in advance. This helps maximize face-to-face time with your provider.

Our goal is for you to feel informed, respected, and confident in your care—never rushed.

During your visit, you can expect:

  • A thorough discussion of your concerns and priorities

  • An individualized evaluation by a board-certified dermatologist

  • Clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and next steps

  • A collaborative approach focused on both skin health and long-term outcomes

What to Bring to Your Appointment

To help your visit run smoothly, please bring:

  • A valid photo ID

  • Your current insurance card

  • A method of payment for any copay, deductible, or coinsurance

📌 Important: Accurate insurance information must be on file at the time of your visit. If incorrect or incomplete information is provided, you may be billed directly for services.

Complete Your Forms Ahead of Time (via Klara)

For your convenience, all patient forms are sent electronically through Klara prior to your appointment.

We strongly encourage patients to:

  • Complete all required forms before arriving

  • Review and update medical history, medications, and insurance information through Klara

Completing paperwork in advance allows us to focus fully on your care and helps keep appointments running on time. Learn more about Klara here.

Arrival Times for New Patients

If you are a new patient and have not completed your paperwork in advance, please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in.

Patients who arrive without completed paperwork and do not allow adequate check-in time may need to be rescheduled.

We pride ourselves on being on time and our policies help facilitate a smooth office experience.

How to Prepare for Your Skin Check

To help ensure a complete and accurate exam:

  • Avoid wearing makeup, nail polish, or self-tanner if possible

  • Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to remove

  • Make note of any new, changing, or concerning spots you’d like us to examine

Skin checks are streamlined, thorough exams focused on early detection and prevention.

How to Prepare for Your Acne Visit

To make your acne visit most productive:

  • Bring a list of current skincare products and medications (or upload in Klara)

  • Be prepared to discuss what treatments you’ve tried and how your skin has responded

  • Let us know about hormonal patterns, lifestyle factors, or triggers you’ve noticed

Acne treatment is highly individualized, and understanding your history helps us tailor the most effective plan.

How to Prepare for Your Aesthetic Visit

For aesthetic visits:

  • Come with a general sense of what concerns you most

  • Avoid heavy makeup when possible

  • Be open to a comprehensive facial assessment—sometimes the best results come from a balanced, multi-modal approach

Cosmetic consultations focus on natural, thoughtful results and realistic treatment planning. If applicable, consultation fees will be discussed at the time of scheduling.
